Green Crib
I bought an antique crib at a flea market, and was wanting to know how old it is and what it is worth.?
The only markings I can find on it, is a number stamped on the bottom of the head board, #179. It is a victorian style, the corners are rounded, it has the original paint, pale green, slats are almost 3 3/4 inches apart. Of course, it doesn’t pass today’s codes. The sides and head board and foot board have a solid center piece. ( not all rails ) It has some applied appliques that are made of some sort of resin? They are raised and painted like the crib. Reminds me of todays victorian furniture with wooded appliques painted on them. It appears to be a regular size crib.
It’s worth what you paid for it. Because of the hyper vigilance of people today, it has no resale value.
